Digital Sticker Printing

Digital sticker printing is a quick way to get your stickers printed and cut-contoured (shaped). Printing and shaping stickers can be accomplished in two ways. The first is wide format digital vinyl sticker printing, which is the quickest process to print and shape labels.

Labels on Digital Print and Cut Machine

This type of digital sticker printing does not require plates or dies and so vinyl stickers can be produced in 48-72 hours. The image on the left shows how these stickers are printed and shaped on a digital printing machine.  As you can see, they are grouped and printed in multiples and not in a single line as found on sticker rolls.

Traditional flexo printing is sticker printing on a flexible roll. This type of printing does require plates and label dies for shaping the stickers. Similar to vinyl stickers, the flexo labels can be printed on a polyprop white or clear sticker.  Unlike vinyl stickers, however, they do not have the outdoor capabilities that vinyl has. Flexo printing is also not as quick as wide format digital printing and the production time is around 14-15 working days as opposed to a couple days for vinyl sticker printing but both sticker printing options have their place and it's useful to be aware of the benefits of each. Regular label buyers often use both and digital vinyl and flexo sticker printing options as the need arises.
