Stickers on a Roll

Stickers on a roll can be printed digitally or flexographically. Most stickers are printed on a roll, although some are sheet printed on offset presses or digital copiers, but those are completely different print processes and use different sticker substrates. But the stickers on a roll format is where the similarity between digital and flexo ends. Digital flexo sticker printing does not require a set of plates but still requires a die to shape the label. Standard flexo printing requires both plates (initially a once off cost) and a die. Both flexo sticker printing options have their strengths and weaknesses. Another major difference between digital and standard flexo is that digital flexo stickers are always printed in full CMYK colour while standard flexo can print stickers in CMYK or single or multiple Pantone ink colours. Printing stickers in white ink or any other spot colour or spot colour combination is also only possible with standard flexo printed stickers.
